5 FALL ESSENTIALS 2020

Hi lovelies,

I hope y’all had a productive week, I did. Before I dive into today’s post, I want to say thank you to those who subscribed to my newsletter and if you haven’t subscribers, kindly do.

It’s getting colder/darker and I see lots people are dressing down for no reason. Well people in Scandinavia usually dress down in winter (even in summer 😀). Today’s post will help you to stay alive and stylish this fall/winter.

First up is BLAZER. A clean blazer will help you stay stylish, you can pair it with dress or pants.

I wore blazer to dinner last night. Buy it here

LEATHER SKIRTS: Pleated, Fringe , wrap or mini leather Skirt are one of falls 2020 essentials. I am not a fan of leather skirt but I will be wearing a wrap leather skirt with a nice knee boots this season. If you choose to join the trend, style the leather skirt with a nice shirt or cashmere Knit so it doesn’t look trashy. We only do classy!

THE CLUTH BAG( grab & go): To keep your style alive this season you need to add a clutch bag to your bag collection.

LOUNGE WEAR: The image of Anna Wintour wearing a pair of red tracksuit bottoms went viral in April, those attuned to the latest trends got a cue on how personal style choices will pan out in the coming months. Since then, loungewear has become everything. I have always been a fan of nice lounge wear.

THE NEW JEAN SHAPE: skinny jeans is no longer in trend, I personally have disposed most of my skinny jeans. I find them extremely uncomfortable (they are cute and I know skinny jeans will make a come back). I think people are more into something that will make them look comfortable and feel comfortable. High rise/high waist jeans has been in trend for a while and it’s also fall 2020 essential.

These countries welcomes international tourists

Hi lovelies,

Thank God it’s Friday. I hope you all had a marvelous week. I am currently on my way to the UK. As you all know I love traveling, fashion and traveling is my thing. I have been recently asked many times which countries can tourists travel to at the moment, due to the ongoing pandemic. There has been different restrictions for different countries lately, so I took my time to check some countries that I know might interest my readers who are willing to travel in the upcoming weeks . Firstly I have to say rules and regulations are being changed from time to time so I will recommend you check the country’s website

Here are some countries welcoming tourists

MALTA 🇲🇹

Malta reopened for tourism in July in two phases: initially allowing residents from 22 European countries to visit from July 1, followed by travellers from everywhere else on July 15. Visitors aren’t required to self-quarantine upon arrival, but can expect thermal screenings. Arrivals must also fill in a self-declaration form that includes details of their movement for the last 30 days.

GREECE 🇬🇷

Greece is one of the warmest countries in Europe, luckily the temperature stays warm till end of December. COVID-19 test (PCR and/or serology) are required for entry for some travelers. Refer to travel.gov.gr for detailed information on PCR test requirements, depending on departure point and port of entry into Greece.

MALDIVES 🇲🇻

From 15th July , tourists from all destinations have been allowed to travel to the Maldives., All arrivals must be able to present a Covid-19 PCR negative certificate, taken no more than 72 hours prior to departure. Island hopping, or visiting more than one resort, which was previously banned, has also been permitted again from September 10.

ZANZIBAR TANZANIA 🇹🇿

Zanzibar is one of my favorite places. I visited two years and I was so stunned by the beauty of the place and by the culture of the country, and ofc the friendliness of the people. The good news is Tanzanian has reopened the country for all international tourists. The 14 day mandatory quarantine for visitors entering the country has also been lifted. You can watch my Zanzibar vlog Here

ST LUCIA

This country is on my on list. I’ll be visiting soon. luckily international tourist are welcome.

BRAZIL 🇧🇷

If you missed this years Rio carnival, there’s possibility that the carnival will hold next year February, cos all international tourists are now welcome. I will be there, it’s time for some Samba, lol.

Lastly All African countries welcome international tourist, but you have to show your COVID-19 test results on arrival.

Ok that’s it for today’s post. Wishing y’all a lovely weekend. Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram @debralicious .

THE MOST TALKED ABOUT FRAGRANCES IN YEAR 2020. ARE THEY WORTH IT?

Hello there,

Welcome back and if this is your first time here, kindly subscribe to my newsletter so you don’t miss a thing.

On today’s topic of “why are these fragrances so popular”?. If you know me or follow me on Instagram (@debralicious) you probably noticed that I talk about fragrance from time to time. PS ”smelling good is a business”.

Earlier this year I noticed so many influencers posted same fragrance on their feed. I thought it was an ad for Byredo , yes some were collaboration and some just jumped on the wagon. I was curious about the smell of the fragrance. Unfortunately/luckily I didn’t jump on the wagon until three weeks ago. I visited NK fragrance department in Gothenburg with a friend. I found out that Byredo have 58 different scents, that got me confused. I quickly went on Instagram to see which one the influencers posted the most. 90% of them posted “Byredo Ghost Mojave”. Sadly I wasn’t impressed and I hoped it would get better, cos I had a flu but it didn’t get any better.

The pros: The packaging is really good. The bottle is something different and looks very feminine.

The cons: The smell isn’t long lasting, it fades away after 30 minutes or so. It’s way too pricy, 130$ for 50ml and 200$ for 100 ml. I expected much more from the most hyped fragrance in year 2020. Maybe the other 57 bottles smells better but I won’t be trying them.

The next fragrance is another Swedish brand by Stora skuggan . This was only seen on the Swedish influencers feed, mainly because the brand doesn’t sell internationally. I decided to give it a try.

The pros: Nice package and the bottle is really beautiful. Long lasting scent

The cons: Awful scent, I didn’t like the scent at all. This fragrance is not for me. I felt old when I wore it, may be it’s something I will like when I turn 50,lol. Stora Skuggan have 4 other fragrances that I haven’t tried. Maybe just maybe sometime in the future I will try their other scents . Lastly, it is pricy. 120$ for 30ml. All the five fragrances all comes in 30ml.

The last Swedish fragrance on my list today is my first ever Vegan perfume by Björk and berries . All thanks to @Slipintostyle for posting it on her IG story. As a perfumer, I got curious and immediately ordered it. Surprisingly “September by björk and berries didn’t disappoint. This will be part of my collection. Love it

The pros: Eco packaging, worth the money and long lasting scent. 99$ for 50ml.

The cons: absolutely nothing!

Lastly my first ever Danish fragrance by Zarkoperfume . I came across this sometime last year but didn’t care for it. A friend gave me as a gift two months ago. I’m loving it. This brand have more than 12 different scents. I am looking forward to trying them all.

The pros: long lasting and fresh scent. Reasonable price. 110$ for 100ml.

The cons: absolutely nothing!

Björk& berries and Zarkoperfume are my recommendations. PS this is not a sponsored post. Like they say one mans food is another mans poison, Stora Skugan and Byredo is probably your thing. Give it a try!

Thanks for reading and see you next Friday. Have a nice weekend.
